Rhode Island & Southern Mass EV Driver Study

TurnTime pays Tesla rideshare drivers $100 a month to share their car's charging and driving data. Six months. Nothing to type.

The offer

  • $100 a month, for six months, paid by Venmo or Cash App.

  • For Tesla drivers in Rhode Island or Massachusetts, 15 or more hours a week, wherever you live. We’re starting with drivers who work Providence and south of Boston.

  • Your car’s data through Tessie, and your Uber weekly statement by email. That’s the whole job.

How it works

  1. Sign up below. It takes two minutes.

  2. We text you a welcome message with your driver number and the setup steps.

  3. Install Tessie and connect your car. We cover the subscription.

  4. Once a week, email your Uber weekly statement to data@turntimefleet.com. In the Driver app: Earnings, then See details. (Or at drivers.uber.com under Earnings.) About a minute.

  5. On the 1st of each month, once we’ve confirmed your four weekly statements arrived, $100 goes to your Venmo or Cash App.

What we collect

  • From Tessie: your charging sessions (when, how much energy, home or Supercharger, what it cost), battery level, mileage and drive times, and battery health over time.

  • From your weekly statement: the trip list Uber already gives you — ride type (UberX, Comfort Electric), trip time, what you earned, and tips.

What we never see

  • Pickup and drop-off addresses from your Uber trips. We never ask for trip receipts, and the weekly statement doesn’t contain them.

  • Your riders. Nothing about who you drove.

  • Your Uber login. You keep your account; we never ask for access to it.

  • Where you go when you’re not working. Tessie records every drive, so we only analyze the hours that match your Uber statement, and location is removed before any drive enters our dataset.

Why we’re doing this

TurnTime is a Rhode Island company building the system that keeps electric fleets charged, clean and on the road. The honest numbers on what an EV earns and costs in rideshare — in New England winters, on real shifts — don’t exist yet. The drivers doing it every day have them. We’d rather pay for the truth than guess.

About TurnTime

TurnTime is a Rhode Island company, founded in 2026. We build the system that keeps electric fleets charged, clean and on the road: the readiness work between rides that decides whether a car earns or sits. We’re starting with the operators and drivers in our own state, and we pay for data instead of guessing.

The founder

Nick Guerriero spent his career in tech and started TurnTime to build something in Rhode Island. He drives on the Uber platform himself in a Model Y, and he reads every statement that comes in. If you have a question about the study, it’s him you’ll hear back from.

Questions

Is this Uber? No. TurnTime is independent of Uber, Lyft and Tesla. The study is designed to stay inside what Uber allows you to share, so your driver status isn’t affected.

Do I have to change how I drive? No. Drive exactly as you do now.

What if I miss a week? You’re paid for any month you send four statements. Miss one and that month isn’t paid; you stay in the study.

Can I quit? Any time, with 30 days’ notice. We delete your name and contact details from the study when you leave.

Is the $100 taxable? It’s income to you. We’ll send any tax paperwork the law requires; ask your tax preparer about your situation.

I drive an EV that isn’t a Tesla. Join the waitlist on the form. Other EVs are next.

Who sees my data? TurnTime. If we ever publish or share results, your data is anonymous and combined with other drivers’.
